Changing the old for the new

We got the inside scoop that the old Moroni was being replaced by a new one while the temple was closed and headed over there early last Monday to watch. It took the whole morning and a good part of the afternoon. Turns out the post didn't fit so they got it up there and then had to bring it back down to grind down the metal. Did you know the trumpet is screwed in.
Oops I forgot to turn these before pulling them in but am to lazy to fix it. Just turn your head.

Like I said it took hours. The boys and Alaina spent some time very bored. They are sitting with their cousins for anyone that doesn't know.

  1. Wow so neat! We were able to see the Rexburg Moroni being put on it is just amazing! So fun that your kids were there and able to witness it! And thanks for the exercise for my head . . .it needed a good tilting work out!
